Overview

Bluberry Social, nestled in the vibrant heart of Irvine at 3955 Irvine Blvd, is fast becoming a standout destination for brunch and casual dining enthusiasts. This restaurant strikes a compelling balance between modern aesthetics and a warm, inviting atmosphere. From the moment you step inside, the soft peachy pink tones and unique plasterwork create an ambiance that is both chic and comfortable. The layout offers a versatile choice of seating: cozy booths, high tops, communal tables, and an expansive outdoor patio that welcomes pets, perfect for those seeking a lively yet relaxed meal experience.

Bluberry Social’s menu is a curated journey through elevated comfort food, with a strong focus on brunch favorites and distinctive flavor combinations. Among the highlights, the fried chicken and waffles stand out for their crisp, well-seasoned chicken paired with waffles boasting satisfyingly crispy edges, though some guests noted the eggs can run a little too runny. The loco moco bowl offers a masterful fusion of island-inspired elements—garlic rice, a savory beef patty, roasted mushrooms, and rich mushroom gravy accented with furikake—delivering both heartiness and complexity in every bite.

The restaurant also shines in innovative takes on classic dishes, such as the smoked salmon toast topped with capers and pickled onions, or the Sunrise Avocado Toast, featuring a perfectly cooked sous vide egg atop a bed of arugula. Their beverage program complements the food thoughtfully, with standout drinks like the strawberry matcha latte—praised for its smoothness and authentic strawberry chunks—and the honey oat latte crowned with blueberry cold foam, offering a delightful twist to the usual coffee routine.

Bluberry Social’s vibe aligns perfectly with its target audience: young professionals, foodies, and groups of friends eager for a social yet polished brunch or lunch spot. The space encourages lingering, conversation, and shared moments, thanks to its mix of communal and private seating options. Although on the busy side—parking is ample but tends to fill up quickly—the overall customer service remains friendly and attentive, even if some logistical hiccups with flatware and condiments crop up during peak hours.

What truly sets Bluberry Social apart is its ability to blend striking design elements with a menu that feels both familiar and refreshingly inventive. Whether you’re there for the vibrant pancake varieties, the fulfilling breakfast burritos, or exploring the dinner-time pasta and pizza dishes that bring a subtle yet memorable twist, this place delivers an experience worth revisiting. As a new player in the Irvine dining scene, Bluberry Social shows promise with its engaging culinary offerings and a thoughtful, aesthetically pleasing environment that welcomes community and connection.

I debated between 4 or 5 stars and settled on 5 because in the end we didn’t have a “bad” experience, they just have some kinks to work out because they’re new! The place itself is very aesthetically pleasing and has great vibes. Some seating inside, high tops, booths, and a bar top. Lots of outdoor tables too. Food - get the fried chicken and waffle. That’s the one dish I would go back for. The panko breading on the chicken was great. The chicken was seasoned well. The waffle was delicious and had crispy edges which I loved. The poached eggs on top were a little too runny with the whites in my opinion. And I liked that it had some Fresno chilis on top. Breakfast burrito was good but nothing special. Tots were nice although sparse, arugula salad was tasty, salsa was good. Loco moco was really good! Eggs perfectly cooked. Loved the furikake sprinkle on top. Mac salad was a nice touch. And the mushroom gravy was super flavorful. Pickled red onions were a nice accompaniment to help cut the richness. The pancakes were both a fail for me. I didn’t understand the deconstructed creme brûlée style of that pancake. Like the rock sugar on the side was weird. It would’ve made more sense actually torching the top of the pancake with sugar and serving that lime green sauce on the bottom or on the side. Lemon ricotta pancake was dry and didn’t taste much lemon. If you want a plain berry pancake, this would be your way to go. We also got several of the pastries baked goods, they were all good, but they’re just your typical average baked goods. Coffee and drinks were good! We all enjoyed our honey oat lattes, sea salt amber, strawberry matcha, mange green tea, all well made. Service - everyone is SUPER nice. Very attentive with the clean up too. Food and drinks came out easily, they find your table # and drop it off. The issue comes when you need flatware or extra things. They’re so quick and zoom off before you can ask. We were even proactive and went to ask first for flatware and napkins. We were told they would be brought out with our food. So we went to sit down. And the first person who dropped off the first plate of food didn’t bother to notice we had no flatware. Until the 2nd person came by with more food, we had to ask them for flatware napkins and extra plates. Then the 3rd person was nice to offer condiments like ketchup and hot sauces. But again, overall we didn’t have a bad experience and everyone was still very kind. Parking - it’s in a large strip mall retail plaza. There’s a lot of free parking but because it gets so busy the parking also gets busy and limited.

We checked out Bluberry Social during their first week open and I was super excited because their socials looked clean and consistent. The place is beautiful inside. The plaster work, the vibe, the decor, everything is super unique and honestly one of the cooler brunch aesthetics I have seen. I ordered the Blueberry Lemon Ricotta Pancake because it is literally their name so of course I had to try it, plus Jill’s Combo with a Belgian Waffle and a Strawberry Matcha Latte. The pancake was thin, airy, good ricotta flavor, and the Triple Berry Compote was great, a little tart so maple syrup helped but overall really solid. Jill’s Combo actually ended up being even better. Eggs were perfectly cooked, the croutons were crispy with herbs, and the sausage was insane. No clue what sausage they use but it was seriously so good. Even the arugula salad slapped with this tangy sweet vinaigrette thing going on. People at our table had the Big Breakfast Burrito which was really good, the Sunrise Avocado Toast which was huge and super flavorful, and the SoCal Loco Moco which honestly surprised all of us. The only things that did not hit were the Fried Chicken and Waffles which looked amazing but the chicken had no flavor, and the Hawaiian Ahi Poke Salad where the tuna was great but everything else missed completely. Now the drinks were honestly the stars. The Strawberry Matcha Latte was unreal, smooth, not bitter, perfect sweetness with real strawberry chunks. My wife and I are matcha people and this one shocked us. The Blue Honey Latte with whole milk was also amazing with that blueberry cold foam. Food came out extremely fast too like three to five minutes which was wild. Overall I would definitely go back but expect a wait because this place is going to get busy fast.

This is genuinely one of the most beautiful restaurants I’ve ever been to, and I just adore the communal dining space. They’re most known for their brunchy items, but we were here to try their more traditional dishes. The sauce in the garlic shrimp pasta was to die for, we had to use the cheese toast to mop it up. And the vongole pasta with clams was just perfection, it was SO fresh and delicious. And don’t even get me started on the pizza! I think there was a hint of honey in it? that made it so addicting. And where else can you get a blueberry matcha latte or orange creamsicle matcha with dinner? This spot is such a vibe and the food does not miss. Thanks for reading! ^-^

Brunch with friends just found a new spot! A really fun new place to enjoy coffee, breakfast, brunch or lunch. Really cool vibes, love the soft peachy pink colors and cozy booths. The service was great, friendly and helpful with making suggestions for our first visit. The scone was perfection! Perfectly baked, not too sweet and pumpkin spice seasoning was on point. The salad had all the fixings I love , fresh vegetables, crunchy topping and delicious dressing. Plenty of grilled chicken breast. The only negative was that our table was dirty and we had to flag down someone to wipe it down for us. Otherwise, an excellent experience. Lots of free parking in the lot out front. No need for reservations. Seating indoors and out in patio. Pet friendly.

Bluberry Social is the perfect spot for a tasty brunch with a hip and busy atmosphere. I was looking for something delicious and this place delivers! It was quite busy and a loud environment filled with chatter, but there is outdoor seating available. I opted to sit at the bar since I was by myself. All the employees were helpful and very warm. I ordered the Big Breakfast Burrito and the Oat Latte. The oat latte was not too strong and slightly sweet. It was not the most flavorful coffee I’ve had, but I still enjoyed it. The Big Breakfast Burrito was amazing. It was crisp and brimming with rich, breakfasty goodness. The zesty side salad, crunchy tater tots, and avocado on the side was perfect. The salsa was tasty but not spicy at all, which I didn’t mind because I was given some ketchup and spicy sauce bottles on the side. If you’re looking for a cool new place to grab breakfast, brunch, or lunch, Bluberry Social is a great choice.

This place is amazing! I've been coming back here several times since they had soft opening about a week ago. I love their trendy & chic vibes, and you can't go wrong with anything on the menu. Chicken & waffles, avocado toast, and breakfast burrito are my favorite! They also added the lunch menu a few days ago, and french onion soup is the best! My favorite drinks are iced matcha latte and sea salt latte. It does get busy around 10:00 am, so I suggest going early. The staffs are friendly and hard-working. Don't forget to try their MIMOSA and DRAFT BEER!

We came here for brunch around 10am and it was a bit difficult to find a spot, but staff and service was great and kind. The food came out relatively fast and we got the breakfast burrito, lemon ricotta pancake, and locomoco dish. Everything taste great and good atmosphere for girls catch up or family brunch. If you have toddler they only have one high chair so something to think about in advance. Otherwise, coffee is good, food is great, would highly recommend!

I'm usually not a breakfast person but this place makes their pastries and breakfast burritos pretty good. Tater tots were crunchy not soggy, flavorful burrito with a fresh side of salad. Absolutely love my blue honey oat milk latte. Inside and outside seating section are both good areas to have your meals.
